The Busiest Times at Frankfurt Immigration

How to Find the Quietest Queues

The New European Entry/Exit System (EES)
The EU’s digital Entry/Exit System (EES) has changed the passport control process for non-EU travellers by replacing manual stamps with automated biometric tracking. On your first visit, you must register a digital facial scan and fingerprints at a self-service kiosk before seeing a border officer. Your digital profile stays valid for three years, making subsequent crossings much faster. Because first-time registration takes extra time per passenger, lines can easily back up during peak morning rushes.
